Rocking Around the Holidays with Authors
Hi everyone – welcome to our very first Rocking Around the Holidays. From now until December 23rd, we’re giving you the inside scoop and behind the scenes info on Rock Star Authors.

To celebrate the holiday season there’s a HUGE contest to go along with it – which includes 2 iPad Minis, signed books by all of the authors, gift cards galore and much, much more!

Behind the Scenes with Andrea Davis Pinkney

Don't let anybody tell you New York City is a dark, noisy place.
Though my home office is in the middle of inner city Brooklyn, it's a quiet light-filled cubby that I call my SSS ― my "Secret Sunny Sanctuary."
I start my day at 4:00 am. Every morning my desk and laptop greet me like open palms. My “SSS” welcomes a new day of writing possibility, made beautiful by the rising light that winks into both windows, encouraging me like a friend.

Holiday Cheer with Andrea Davis Pinkney

Favorite Holiday memory as an adult – Having my picture taken with Santa, who turned out to be a resident of my favorite vacation spot in upstate, NY.
Favorite holiday food A gorgeous juicy grapefruit.
How do you get ready to start the holidays (listen to music, put up a wreath) Bring in the Take 6 Christmas album.
Do you prefer a snowy or vacationing (tropical island) holiday? Give me my Brooklyn neighborhood!
Traditional holiday experience that you’ve never done or don’t understand (eggnog is gross, what in the world is a yuletide?) What’s the big deal with fruitcake? Yuck!

What’s your favorite wintery activity? HOT DATE FOR ME AND MY HUBBY: One-on-one ice hockey!
Follow Along with Rocking the Holidays tomorrow, December 4th where author Luanne Rice will be featured on the sites listed below, plus there will be ways to enter the contest daily!
