Tryst Synopsis
In this sensational New Adult debut by Alex Rosa, boyfriends are too much trouble. So what’s the harm in a little fun?

With an abusive relationship behind her, Skyler moves out of her Orange County apartment, changes her phone number, cuts ties with her friends, and moves in with her brother Josh, a talent agent with a spare room in his incredible house in Hollywood.

Josh is happy to take Skyler under his wing, but he has one rule: she can’t sleep with his roommate, Blake. That’s fine by Skyler. She doesn’t want a man in her life right now—and certainly not cocky Blake who’s with a different girl every night. But his all-American boy charm and his ripped model physique are difficult to refuse. Josh will never know if no one ever tells him. And a little secret now and then never hurt anyone…

AUTHOR INTERVIEW with ALEX ROSA

Here my lovely's i have an Author Interview with the awesomely talented Alex Rosa author of Emotionally Compromised, Tryst and upcoming release Fahrenheit!!!!!

Thank-you so much Alex for taking time out of your hectic author schedule to answer a few question my little ol' blog xoxo

1. What does your writing process look like?
a. It really depends the story I’m working on. Most of the time I just go in knowing what’s in my head, and simply put my fingers to the keyboard, hoping for the best. Lately, I’ve been jotting down vague chapter outlines, so I’m not too tied down to the plot, but still given a guideline. I like structure, but not too much structure. I’m like the goldilocks of authors, I need it just right ;) hahaha
2. Do you have any strange writing habits? (like a pre writing ritual or standing on your head)
a. I love going outside and doing a quick twenty-minute yoga session before delving into writing sprints. Not sure how weird that is, but I always feel so much better after I do it. Helps me feel refreshed before writing.
3. Just as your books inspire authors, what authors inspire your writing?
a. There are two authors that come to mind immediately. Colleen Hoover has this effortless way of writing emotion and depth while keeping it simple and enthralling. The way she writes makes me want to be a better writer every time I pick up one of her novels. Another author is, Kylie Scott. I desperately want to be as witty with my writing when I read her books. She is so clever and engaging while pulling the story along at a fast-pace. I can never put down the books by either of these authors.
4. Were you always a writer? Have you always loved to write?
a. I didn’t realize I had been writing since a young age until I told my cousin that I wrote a book, thinking it’d be a surprise, when in actuality his response was, “Well, that makes sense. You’ve always been telling stories since we were kids.” Sure enough, after scouring old boxes from my youth, I have tons of journals with half written stories in them. Writing always felt natural, but nothing more than a fun hobby. Now that I’m writing professionally, it feels surreal, and a dream come true. I guess my love for writing has been a constant for me since I can remember.
5. If you didn't like writing books, what would you be doing for a living?
a. As different type of dream job, I’d probably delve into something creative like graphic design, which even now I try to incorporate into my writing life and promotions. I’ve always been a Photoshop-nerd, and I think this would be something I’d pursue if I wasn’t writing.
6. What are your working on now? What is your next project? (if you can tell us ;)
a. I just recently finished my first erotica titled, Fahrenheit. It’s also a romantic comedy, and I’m so looking forward to its release September 22nd! Also, I’m in the process of pitching the sequel to Tryst (my new adult novel released in March 2015), and another standalone back to the publisher. Keep your fingers crossed for me. Lot’s of upcoming books!
7. Do you read your reviews good or bad? Do you respond?
a. I’ve been told you shouldn’t read your reviews, but I seriously cannot help myself. I read every single one. I absolutely never respond. I try to take every negative review as constructive criticism, and move forward. I did have to get a thick skin, and now bad reviews don’t bother me. Getting a good review is also one of the most amazing feelings ever. Whenever I read someone telling
me they liked my book, it fuels a massive smile for days.
8. If you could cast characters in the Hollywood adaptation of your book TRYST who would you choose as your characters?
a. Oooh, I love this question. For the leading guy Blake, I have a couple actors in mind. Colton Haynes, or Ryan Guzman would be amazing choices. As for the leading lady, Skyler, it’s a harder pick. Maybe Nina Dobrev?
9. If you had a superpower what would it be?
a. I’d love the power of teleportation. That may sound lame, but I hate traffic, and the time it takes me to get from point A to B, sometimes. Teleportation would solve all my problems, like my need to travel the world ;)
10. What literary character is most like you?
a. Oh my god. I have a funny response for this. I read Christina Lauren’s Dirty Rowdy Thing from their Wild Seasons Series, and I have never identified with a female character as I have with Harlow Vega. I have since called her my spirit animal. Also, that book is set in my hometown of San Diego, which is a plus. Haha.
11. Where is one place you want to visit but haven't been before?
a. I want to visit Florence or Rome in Italy super bad. I am a sucker for history and architecture … and Italians.
12. If you could have any accent from anywhere in the world what would you choose?
a. I would be totally stoked on having a British accent. Typical, but true.
13. If you were an animal in a zoo, what animal would you be?
a. First off, I don’t think I’d like to be caged, I’d go nuts. Haha. But if I had to choose, I’d for sure be a Lion. King/Queen of everything the light touches, and all that.
14. If a character from any book EVER written could come to life, who would it be and why?
a. I think me and Elizabeth Bennett from Pride & Prejudice would be besties. No doubt.
15. Your bookboyfriend crush at the moment?
a. I just finished Rule by Jay Crownover (I know I’m late for this train), but I’d have to say I am crushing on Rule Archer like no other right now. Haha.
Last and probably most important
16. What is your current book you are reading?
a. I’m about to delve into my ARC of Three Little Mistakes by Nikki Sloane, and I can’t wait!
