My Writing Space (AKA the Dungeon)
That’s what we call it at my house. The Dungeon. When we built the house, we actually called this room the office, so I guess it is being used for what it was intended to be. I just never dreamed I’d actually be writing books in this room! The picture I’ve included is of my desk and of my cat, Gus. Most days, Gus is content to lie at my feet (or disappear upstairs for hours) while I write. But some days, he wants love. Or food. That’s when he becomes an obstacle between me and the PC.
In almost every interview, I’m asked if I write with music. It’s a fair question, considering I’m a complete musicholic. But when it’s time to write, my writing space is typically quiet except for the hum of the ceiling fan. Music can really influence my writing, so I’m careful. I can sometimes write with instrumental music playing in the background, but it’s rare. My happy-go-lucky scene can become somber if the wrong kind of music is playing, so to be safe, my writing space is usually music-free.

Holiday Cheer with Sydney Logan
Favorite Holiday memory as an adult:
My wedding day! We were married on December 7. Our church was decorated for Christmas and my bouquets were made of cream and crimson poinsettias.
Favorite Holiday memory as a child
Waking up to find Santa (aka my mom and dad) putting gifts under our tree. The fantasy was shattered! :)
Do you dress your pets up for the holidays?
Are you kidding? My cat would claw my eyes out if I tried to do that! :)
